Recipe: Morning Parfait

When I get up in the morning, I usually cannot handle a heavy breakfast. This week, I have been making parfaits and reading the paper or The New York Times. It makes getting up early a tiny bit sweeter.

Ingredients:
Non-fat Greek Yogurt
Honey- I enjoy organic honey better
Berry compote or fresh berries
Granola or instant oatmeal

Directions:
1. Spoon about a cup of greek yogurt into your bowl. I like the mix of 2/3 yogurt and 1/3 berries.
2. Liberally drizzle with honey and sprinkle on some granola. 
3. Spoon in some berry compote (I make this by microwaving frozen berries with a little sugar and mixing every thirty seconds for two minutes) or add fresh berries.
4. Enjoy!
