I've been stocking up on things to wear at my internship this summer. This whole no skirt thing is really throwing me off and I have been picking up easy skinny pants to wear to work. Skinny pants, blouse, flats and some cute, easy to remove jewelry are perfect to wear to work this summer. I also don't want to make a bad impression on my coworkers and I think that is all about dressing up for a while even if they tell me it's okay to be casual. After getting all of my online work purchases (and a few fun) in, some of the clothes do not fit as well as I would like them to. This is my sizing review of things I love on the internet.
These J Crew Factory Printed Chino Shorts are too large - I got a 6 and they were so huge. I'm returning because I did not know the shorts were so vanity sized and I didn't love them when I got them. I ordered based on my hip size. Make sure you order a size or two smaller than what you need in J Crew chino shorts for a perfect fit. |
These Old Navy Pixie Pants are too large! I sized up according to reviews and they are way too big in the waist! I am returning for my normal size or getting something different! I ordered the same pants in tan and black and white dot in a 6 Tall so I will return them for a 4 Tall. The length on these pants is perfection so I have to keep them around :] They hit me right above the ankle and the fabric quality is great for Old Navy.
Update: Old Navy Pants are still on sale for 30% off so I snagged the replacement patterns in the pixie pants that I wanted! The tan ones I exchanged for a smaller size (6 to a 4).
I'm replacing the above Geo Print pants with these:
I also ordered the black and white polka dot in a 6 Tall before and am replacing them with these red pants in a size 4 Tall:
I also wanted to love this skirt but the pattern isn't right on me in a size 6. I'm returning because it doesn't fit quite right.
Sometimes, it's nice to get a smaller size than you thought you would need but all these returns are driving me nuts!
