Outfit: Prinkshop

Shirt: Custom Prinkshop made by me!
Pants: Abercrombie High Waisted Skinny Jeans
Shoes: Thrifted

As a Memorial Day treat to my readers, I am putting up an atypical Sunday post for a great cause. The Prinkshop is a shop that makes t-shirts and totes that benefit the community with new jobs and the charities with funds! 30% of the proceeds of each shirt or tote go directly to the charity that the shirt or tote was designed for to help the people who need it most! I made this shirt at TedxTeen and I could not believe how easy it is to silk screen things. The Prinkshop team set up shop in the building and we got to make these awesome custom t-shirts.

I loved the message on the back of the shirt - the personal is political. Everything that I do is personal and political at the same time. It was important to think about that in the context of  the social environment right now in this country. My work through NSBE has allowed me to channel my energy on educational inequality and race into something useful and meaningful. I am working on a design to submit to the Prinkshop for their contest going on right now to hopefully raise money for NSBE that can be used to further implement our plan to get 10K engineers by 2025.

I hope that everyone is having a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend. I give so much love and respect to the soldiers everywhere who defend our right to live free and safe in America. God Bless!
