Palmer Museum of Art

As much as I love Penn State, one of my main gripes is that we do not have a huge art scene. As an engineer, I love art to balance out all of the math that I see on a daily basis. I headed to the Palmer Museum of Art while I was there last to see one of my favorite museums in action. 

The building is so gorgeous and full of this glass that sparkles. I love a good stained glass window and this place does not disappoint. 

I cannot even start on the awesome pieces that we have in the permanent areas. Two Chihuly pieces, a black Marilyn Monroe, a shoe flower and a ton of interesting takes on modern images, I love this place. You have to stop in while visiting Penn State. Parents - if you are waiting for your kid to finish something at Penn State then this is the place to wait. The gift shop is also awesome. Only downside os this place is that it is not open on Mondays and it closes at 4:30. Make sure to make it there early!
