Credo Beauty Haul

One of my roommates in SF was really into using good products on your skin. We took a trip to Credo Beauty, a natural beauty store chain in SF and NYC. I found some real goodies for my travels and move to Italy.

SW Basics Exfoliant - I love this scrub because I can mix it into anything. I like to mix it into my face wash for a gentle exfoliation, into my shower gel to smooth my skin, and into some peppermint Dr. Bronners for a nice foot scrub. It travels well in the glass container or in a small plastic container. Only con of this product is that it smells really natural like oatmeal and salt but you get used to the smell!

SW Basics Aloe Vera - I had never seen powdered Aloe Vera before but I love this stuff. I use it on my skin after a long day in the sun or when it gets chapped from very windy days. I also use it as edge control when I slick my hair back into a high bun. It also travels well in the glass container or in a small plastic container. I've only tried it mixed with water but I will update this post if I mix it with anything else.

Yuni Shower Sheets - I tested these wipes out after not showering for over 24 hours and having airplane stank. They smell herbal but really good and clean your body quite well. The dry down is not sticky, just refreshing and light. I also love the single wipe packaging for slipping them into your bag for travel.

RMS Lip2Cheek in Illusive - I also got this at the suggestion of my friend CP. It is a natural version of the Bite Beauty Multistick that I love dearly. This color gives me a nice rosy glow and sinks into the skin really nicely. I always carry this in my bag for a quick work to dinner look.

Last but not least, the store gives you samples to try at home. I got two samples: SW Basics Hibiscus Mask and Herbivore Blue Tansy Mask. I will review these at a later date :)

Update:

Herbivore Blue Tansy Mask - I like this mask for when you need a quick exfoliation or a little more glow for a fresh faced look. The first time I used this was on a family trip and it really refreshed my face from all the travel we did that day. The second time, I had 30 minutes to get ready for an evening out and it was a nice way to refresh my tired face. It's not a very strong mask so I think you could use 2-3 times a week with no issues.

SW Basics Hibiscus Mask - I did not like this mask at all! I tried it mixed with honey and with vinegar and neither worked for my skin. I don't know which of the three ingredients does not agree with my skin but this mask gave me a tiny breakout on my forehead. I would not use again but maybe if you have different skin than me, you will love it!
