As a woman, competition is prevalent. We always end up critiquing each other or watching someone else succeed with jealousy or hating on each other. It's really silly and somewhat exhausting to try and please others. I try to live my life by doing what I like, regardless of what other people might say to me. If dressing up makes you happy, do it even if the girls in sweatpants give you glares in class... Life is too short to not do what you want. Limiting yourself due to other people's opinions is not allowing you to bloom into your best self. My mom always says "If you have haters, you are doing something right!" Keeping in with my need to read about things that impact me, I really like this article about why people hate on you and why this women hate is so silly.
