I wanted to make my roommates something special for graduation that they could use in their daily lives. After buying these decals and debating a couple of ways to use them, I decided to make them ring or key trays. I got the idea from this pin on Pinterest. It was very easy to make - basically the same process as my monogrammed makeup tray. The best trays to use are tasting bowls that are square. To make in bulk, you can buy 12 on Amazon for $20. I got my tasting bowls from Pier One for $1.50 each with a coupon. I hope that the girls love them and can actually use them!
I love anything monogrammed. I pretty much put my initials on anything that I want to make sure my sister won't take it. ;] I find inspiration for a lot of my crafts online through Pinterest and other bloggers. I love Design Darling and I really like a lot of things in Mackenzie Horan's online shop. She has a lot of monogramed acrylic desk accessories with circle monograms but I wanted something for my dresser with a little more classic feel. Thus, a spring break craft of the monogrammed makeup organizer was born!
This project was so simple and I am obsessed! I went to my favorite monogram decal shop, Cuttin Crazy on Etsy, and bought a navy script monogram. It was super easy to apply to the acrylic tray - just peel of the white back, place down and peel the plastic cover off! Afterwards, I filled the tray with all of my makeup and tools. I am so excited to use it in my daily life when I actually have dresser space - that is less than 2 months from now!
