I cannot wait for spring to arrive in late March. I love wearing skirts and flats with fun accessories in the spring because we can't do that here in the State College cold. I also miss having my legs out and getting some sun. It has snowed every week since I have gotten back at school. I can't take it anymore! We did have a nice reprieve last week into this weekend but it is projected to snow three times this week :[ It snowed last night! In my head, I dream of spring weather and came up with this little outfit. Vibrant spring colors and classic pieces make something I can wear anywhere during the spring. I just have to hold out a little longer for some warmer weather!
I love fit and flare dresses and skirts. The silhouette is very classic and you can pretty much never go wrong with one! I have several dresses, a black one and grey lace one that I love. I have several skirts - a black one and a grey and black one, both from Express last season. I want to add one to my wardrobe for spring so I've been on the hunt for something fun! I also want something a little different than I already have. This fluted skirt is perfect! I love the shape of this skirt because it looks good with a shirt and flats or a blouse and heels. I've been working on only investing in quality pieces to make sure that I have nice work clothes to wear when I graduate and enter the workplace. The color is muted yet bright. I also love the color because jewel tones make everyone's skin color pop!
Obsessed: Fluted/ Fit and Flare
After a little contemplation and a huge push from my friends, I got a couple more things to add to my fall wardrobe. I stuck with classic colors to match with with everything I own. I also tried to stick with things that work with a lot of clothes that I have and that pack nicely for conferences. I have a couple to go this year and I like to make sure I put my best foot forward.

School Shopping: Part Two
I hate buying thing before I go back to school because I can never tell if it's something that other people are wearing (it's super trendy here) vs. something I think is super nifty. I go to a pretty conservative campus, people usually wear jeans and a tee or gym clothes to class. Due to super sales and some necessities, I got a couple staples to spice up my wardrobe and keep my style casual but still very me.

I picked up a couple of button downs from Old Navy for some fun! I love them with skinny jeans and flats for class or buttoned low with heels for date night. My female professors always love it when I wear button downs to office hours. One told me that I looked very professional. Simple Oxfords Plaid Shirt

I love striped shirts with colorful flats for those colder days on campus. I own a ton of navy, red and white striped shirts but a grey one was needed for my collection. Perfect Striped Tee

I got this Coral and Cream top for some late summer fun. It will also look adorable paired with a cardigan in the winter with some boots. Unfortunately, this top sold out a couple of days ago.

I picked up my version of a peplum top. A little more drapey and a lot more canvas for a statement necklace. Taylor's Version of a Peplum I might pick up a couple more plain tees once the weather gets a little colder but for now, these purchases combine with my wardrobe to make this fall outfits a little better in State College.
