I really love the holidays for the fact that I get to spend so much time with my family. They are so funny and loving and fun to be around and being that I am moving mid year next year to a place like a flight away, I am trying to get in as much time as possible with them. I've been snapping little pictures here and there of all of our fun and wanted to share. Enjoy!
Our tree this year was a little rushed.
Dad put up our fake tree but it had no ornaments until Christmas Eve.
We went with mostly green and red ornaments and I hid some pink ones in the back :)
The high heeled boot ornament is from my best friend/twin BM
and I am so excited to see her tomorrow for brunch!

We went to visit my grandpa and my favorite two girls were there!
We played cards and made bracelets.
They are coming over on New Years Eve to sleep over and I am so EXCITED!
One night for dinner, mom and I shared some sparkling Moscato with Strawberry.
It was so good and very light for anyone interested.
On December 27, Penn State was in the Pinstripe Bowl so we had a small party.
Still in shock that we won but I was so happy! Shocked though.
Being that I am usually a game day dress kind of girl, I put this combo on and loved it.
M got the message and wore her dress too!
My mom says we are the same person at different stages in life.
Or that I should be her kid because we are way too alike.
Every Sunday, we go into Brooklyn to see my Grandfather.
He is so funny unintentionally and very quiet about a lot of things.
He's 74 and still kicking and I really cherish the time I spend with him.
On the way there and back, the view of the Verrazano is great.

Christmas and Family Time Favorite Pictures
Something about this time of year makes me so happy. Maybe it is all the lights strung up on the houses or the way that people seem to be so kind to others. Whatever it is, Christmas time always makes me feel like there is good in the world and that I can really make a difference in the life of someone else. Being that it is finally after Finals week of doom, I wanted to share some things that make me get into the Christmas Spirit and make a difference in my family and in my community.
1// I love to help my family with small tasks.
My grandpa just recently got out of the hospital and I love helping him. I do not get to see him much so when I do, I love to make sure everything he has is clean, he feels happy and he has food. He is one of the people in my life that I love and have so much respect for that I make sure he is okay, along with my momma because we love our family way too much.
2// I really want to help out at a soup kitchen or something this Christmas.
Knowing that I can make a difference is important to me! My sister is the queen of finding things to do so I am gonna ask her to find something we can do as a family.
3// Donate food to the food bank and pay forward a drink at Starbucks.
There is a homeless man in my college town and I would like to pay forward a drink for him because over break, less people will be here and he might not have anything to drink! Stores kick people out if they do not have a purchase, so I want to make sure he has something warm while the town is gone for break. I also want to donate a bag of food from my apartment to the food bank so that someone can eat all of the canned goods my family seems to send to me!
