Mason jars make me happy. They fit a ton of food and can be used as drinking glasses, wine glasses and storage containers. After reading a bunch of books on chemical interactions in the body, I try to avoid heating up food in plastic. I usually carry my lunch in a glass container - a mason jar or pyrex to avoid chemicals. The extra weight in my backpack also gives me a workout. It's totally worth it though.
I really love the idea of mason jars in the home but I don't like when they look a little country chic. I prefer simple elegant uses of mason jars if being displayed in the home. Here are some of my favorites I've saved from various internet sources :]

| That's how I store most of my dry goods. I love how the mason jars in the photo are very minimalist and yet they sort of add a whole extra level to the room. |

| More mason jars with flowers. And a wine glass... So cute! |

I love the color navy, not as much as Mackenzie Horan who created the hashtag #navyornothing but it's a perfect neutral. Light enough to define but dark enough to be sophisticated. Navy is commonly featured in nautical settings. I've been obsessed with both navy and nautical looking houses because I love the ocean and the lifestyle of living by the sea. Here are some looks that are perfect for my future home!

My roommate for next year KW loves plain things when it comes to home decor. She usually picks out things that are grey or black when decorating her room. I remember freshman year, I kept asking her " Where is the color on your side of the room?" I, on the other hand, love a little drama to a look if it will be plain, so I found some designs that feature white, grey or black in a fun way. Who says they need to be boring? (P.S. I'm already working on plans so our room is the bomb.com.)
