Top: Old Navy

Pants: Gap

Shoes: Sperry Via Zappos

I wore this outfit on a slightly rainy overcast day to explore Boston. It was super comfortable and I was able to walk around the museum, bend down and play with things with ease. The key to this outfit for me is the mixing of the striped shirt with the khakis. I just pulled the color navy out the shirt, grabbed navy khakis and it was perfect. I would mix it up with red pants, jeans or a navy skirt. Versatile items make getting dressed in dreary weather so much easier.

I got this Old Navy Dress for a steal of $16. I love how flowy it is, the color scheme, the length, the fabric, basically everything about this dress is perfection. I find it being the piece I gravitate towards when I have something to do while I have been home.  Here are two ways I have rocked this dress.

Sweater: GAP

Top: H&M

Tanktop: Thrifted

Belt: Old Navy

Pants: Old Navy Pixie Pants

Sandals: Target

After work, all the ladies in the family went down to Red Bank for my sister's theatre rehearsal. I still had on my work clothes and I loved this outfit so I had to share it with everyone. The only thing I changed out from my original work outfit was my pointed toe snakeskin flats for some sandals to make it more casual. We got some Cupcake Magician cupcakes before my sister had to go into the theatre. YUM! While my sister was in practice, Mama and I chatted with some other moms and drank Starbucks (Matcha for me, Vanilla Rooibos for mom). It was a lovely way to end a Monday.

After buying many pairs of Pixie Pants and having the sizing be all wrong, I'm happy to report the final pants I ended up with are the bomb.com. Length wise, they are perfect ankle pants in the size range that is necessary for you- I wear a Tall because I am 5'10". Fit wise, I wanted mine to be tighter and stretch out as I wear them rather than looser and too big later on so I went with a 4 and not a 6. The 2 fits like leggings. The fabric is stretchy and comfy to wear. The only complaint I have is with the two clasps in the front. My clasps popped out while trying them on at home and I had to superglue them back on. I suggest you to super glue the clasps for safety and stability. If they come off, not having them makes the front pop out without them.  The pants were too perfect not to keep!

As you can see in the picture below(sorry for the mirror selfie), they work perfectly for a night out or for work - if you have a more casual environment or depending on how you dress them up for work. I like them with a blouse (I like everything with a blouse) but I could wear them with a t-shirt or with a buttondown shirt. I suggest snagging them on sale online or in the store if you are of a regular height. You won't regret it! (I also got tan and red. I'll post outfit pictures when  I finally wear the other colors.)
